Mr. President is a solitaire game that revolves around governing as the President of the United States in the early 21st century. It is not a game about elections; rather, it begins after you have already been elected. The objective is to navigate the challenges of the presidency by advancing your agenda amidst ongoing crises, political adversaries, public opinion, relations with Congress and the media, and ensuring the security of your country in a world filled with competing nations and conflicting interests that constantly erupt.

Mr. President is a resource management game where you never have enough resources to accomplish your entire agenda. The choices you make determine the path you take through an always-unpredictable storyline. Depending on the outcomes of your decisions and the unfolding of a unique story in each game, you will find yourself thinking "POTUS? Piece of Cake!" or "Why did I even want this job?" multiple times.

Similar to the actual Presidents of this era, you will have a range of allies and resources to assist you in navigating the corridors of power in the nation's capital and the uncertainties of international relations. These allies and resources will differ from game to game, but you can always depend on your Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense to aid you in foreign policy matters and utilize the military might of the United States when necessary. Additionally, you will have your Vice President, Chief of Staff, a group of domestic advisors, and friends in Congress to help you navigate the numerous challenges of domestic politics and daily life. Furthermore, in each game, you will have access to at least one truly exceptional talent, someone who excels in their specific role and acts as a "force multiplier" in their own unique way. How you lead and utilize this diverse mix of talents and experience at your disposal will greatly influence your success or failure during your tenure as Mr. President.
